Tanmatra
Tanmatra is an essential step in the Maharasa process to enhance the performance of formulations. By reducing the particle size of the active ingredients, we increase their surface area, leading to a greater proportion of active particles reaching the site of action. At Maharasa, we use a Zirconium bead mill reactor for every formulation to achieve uniform particle size reduction. Our proprietary emulsifiers ensure that the active particles are uniformly dispersed in the solution, further enhancing the formulation’s performance.

Bhasma
Bhasma are nano particles that offer excellent results due to their ability to interact on a cellular level. Apart from covering a much larger area, nanoparticle size also impacts cellular uptake because of its influence on the enthalpic and entropic properties that govern the adhesion strength between nanoparticles and cellular receptors. To synthesize nanofluids, we use green chemistry or chemical route catalysts in an Ultrasonic Sonicator that provides sound energy to agitate the nanoparticles in the suspension, thereby homogenizing the fluids. The resulting nanoparticle size ensures that the actives provide additional features to the formulation, significantly increasing its efficacy.

Rasayana
Rasayana focuses on achieving controlled release and targeted delivery of active ingredients by altering their properties such as morphology, porosity, hygroscopicity, hydrophobicity, surface tension, and thermal behavior. At Maharasa, we use microencapsulation to provide sustained or targeted release of nutritional products or systemic fungicides. Microencapsulation ensures that the actives do not react with other ingredients or catalysts in the formulation, preserving the full potency of the product until delivery. This technique also allows for combining multiple actives with different release time intervals, increasing the overall effectiveness of the formulation.
Rahasya
Rahasya refers to our proprietary techniques at Maharasa, which involve various methods to enhance the efficacy and bioavailability of the actives. These techniques include reducing the molecular weight of the actives, increasing hydrophilicity, and improving penetrative and translocation properties. We also combine Maharasa Ag Technicals to further enhance the effectiveness of our formulations. Our techniques are constantly evolving and improving, with many critical manufacturing information kept confidential due to pending patent applications.
